Real-World Analysis of Your Data in MyGate Software

We welcome the opportunity to present to you the real-life benefits of MyGate Focus Forecasting® and Resource Planning using your own data. We have found this to be a far better example of the true power of not only the software but also our ability to work with you to quickly and accurately create a real system you could use immediately.

To get started, Please contact us to discuss the best plan for gathering the data for your analysis. In the meantime, below is an example of the data and recommended files to help you understand what is important to the analysis. Not every company will have all the data listed and some files are not useful to some companies.

PRODUCT.CSV

Create a file containing product detail, each Item and Warehouse will have a separate record with these fields:

  1. Warehouse (“001” for Main Center, “002”, “003” etc. for other locations)
  2. Item Number
  3. Item Description
  4. Supplier Number (See VNDR.CSV, below.)
  5. Buy Code (“NB” if item is discontinued, else blank.)
  6. Cost per Unit
  7. Sales Price per Unit
  8. Unit of Measure
  9. On Hand (in Units)
  10. Product Code(s) (Codes for the item family, type, or whatever is helpful in sorting.)
  11. Management Code(s) (Codes for Buyer or Salesman of this item in this Warehouse.)
  12. Lead Time (in Weeks, the time from order placement to on hand inventory.)
  13. Pack Size

HSTR.CSV

Create a file containing the sales history, each Item and Warehouse will have a separate record with the fields:

  1. Warehouse
  2. Item Number
  3. Month to Date Sales (in Units)
  4. Unit Sales Fields (Most Recent Month Sales through Least Recent Month Sales by months For Example: June 2008, May 2008, April 2008, etc.)

VNDR.CSV

Create a file containing supplier information. Each supplier will have a separate record with the fields:

  1. Supplier Number
  2. Supplier Description or Name
  3. Consolidation Center (“001” for items transferred from Main Center)
  4. Minimum Order, where one exists.

RQTS.CSV

Create a file containing Open Customer Orders, including Back Orders or Future Orders. Each Item will have one line for each Order with the fields:

  1. Warehouse
  2. Item Number
  3. Customer Name (Abbreviated)
  4. Order Number
  5. Unshipped Quantity (in Units)
  6. Required Ship Date

SCHR.CSV

Create a file containing undelivered orders from your Supplier. Each Item will have one line for each Order with the fields:

  1. Warehouse
  2. Item Number
  3. Order Number
  4. Quantity Not Yet Received (in Units)
  5. Due Date

BILL.CSV

Create a file containing conversions. Each Item will have one line for each item it is composed of:

  1. Warehouse
  2. Item Number
  3. Component
  4. Quantity of Component in One Unit of this Item (in Units, may be fractional)
